XXXV-as tradicinis tarptautinis estafetinis bėgimas „Baltijos Kelias“

The 35th traditional international relay race "Baltic Way" will take place from August 21 to 24, 2027. The race symbolically recreates the Baltic Way of 1989, when millions of Lithuanians, Latvians, and Estonians linked hands to seek freedom and independence. The approximately 650-kilometer route runs from Vilnius through Riga to Tallinn, with runners passing the baton in relay style, covering different segments of varying lengths. It is not only a sporting event but also a living history lesson and a celebration of community, bringing together participants and supporters from the three Baltic countries.

The race lasts four days, during which runners cover up to 200 kilometers daily. The event opening takes place at Vilnius Cathedral Square. Participants pass the baton in relay style, and the race is accompanied by meetings with city and community residents. The event is part of the national physical activity program. It spans four days, with opportunities to welcome and support runners along the way, and is dedicated to commemorating the unity of the Baltic nations.
