Bėgimas Gintarinė jūrmylė

“Amber Sea Mile” is an international running competition held in beautiful Smiltynė. The event offers various distances: 0.5 nautical miles for children, 1 nautical mile for anyone who wishes to participate, 3 nautical miles for women, and 6 nautical miles for men and professionals. The start and finish are at the Sports and Wellness Centre, and participants are served soldiers’ porridge and tea. The competition tradition commemorates winners’ names on a memorial stone raised from the bottom of the lagoon.

Race bibs are issued on October 10 from 10:15 at the Secretariat. The event opens at 12:30 on October 10. All participants are served soldiers’ porridge and tea. Registration is open until October 8 at 15:00; registration will not be available on October 9 or on race day. Age groups and distances are assigned according to year of birth and gender. Ferry schedule for participants: www.keltas.lt. The event takes place on October 10, 2026, with the start at the Smiltynė nature spot. Participants register online, and the courses include 1, 3 and 6 nautical-mile distances.
